Casino GM ready to embrace city

Kevin Kline is senior vice president and general manager of Horseshoe Cincinnati, a $400 million casino development in downtown Cincinnati which is expected to open in spring 2013. Kline brings 17 years of gaming leadership to the project. He will oversee daily operations while upholding Caesars’ world-class management standards, and is charged with ensuring Horseshoe Cincinnati is developed to become a premier regional destination by driving tourism and maximizing economic impact in Southwest Ohio and throughout the state.

Kline comes to the Queen City from the Chicagoland area where he was most recently vice president and assistant general manager of Horseshoe Hammond. In this role, Kline led the design, construction and operations of the $500 million casino development which opened in August 2008 and employs 2,300 people.

Kline, a 17-year veteran of the gaming industry, joined Caesars Entertainment in 1999, holding senior marketing roles at Caesars headquarters, the Rio Las Vegas and Harrah’s New Orleans. With Harrah's New Orleans, Kline developed an expansive integrated hospitality platform that connected Harrah's urban location with many of the City's top local restaurants, hotels and attractions. Through this program, Harrah's New Orleans Total Rewards customers were able to seamlessly redeem their loyalty benefits across the many local partners. The property was able to boost visits by out-of-town Total Rewards guests with unique travel packages and customer experiences while marketing and positioning New Orleans as a top leisure destination for Caesars customers.

Kline earned a bachelor’s degree in business from James Madison University (Harrisonburg, Va.) and a master’s degree in management from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.
